A customers 2015 getting some cognito love via lift with fox shocks
before, leveled with t-bars adjusted!
the bad cvc angles you get with t-bar adjustment, why we do not recommend it for any Duramax, more so the newer trucks as there is a 3" natural rake from the front to rear, so adjusting the front t-bars can create some nasty angles that will destroy the front end and cause shock breakage.
now the final look with the cognito 4-6" lift adjusted to the 5" mark- customer will be getting wheels and tires later.. but you can see, looks very similar to the original pic with the t-bars cranked excessively up to achieve the leveled look and eliminate the natural 3" rake
Before, t-bars cranked
very bad
The after, done right with a lift
and that is how you do it.. lifted, best ride comfort, no premature wear on front end or shock breakage and no nasty angles
Here is a recent 2015 we did with an RCD Lift, 35" tires and 16+ off set. Truck looks amazing and rides spectacular. Very minimal trimming was done on the front plastic valance, I mean very little. This is adjusted at the 6" ride height.
Here is the 15 dually pictured above, 4" cognito instead of a leaving kit... As some know, the leaving kits won't level the LML's and when you crank the T-Bars to get that extra inch you really start to suffer with poor ride quality, premature wear on front components and broken shocks can sometimes happen. This is the best way to achieve the leveled look and great ride quality and keep the front end components happier.
