This out of town customer was driving through the area when his truck (LML) went into limp mode while hauling his trailer. Called us, limped to the shop, we ran diagnostics and found it was a bad indirect injector. Replaced the injector, ran a manual regen and got him back on his way.
Van with a duramax getting a little love had a 4x4 conversion and we installed a PPE motor oil pan and some Kryptonite tie rod sleeves. Notice the 4L80 tranny and not the Allison...
This LMM came into the shop on a flat bed. Owner wanted a second opinion after the local Chevy dealer supposedly ran return rates and a few other diagnostics and told the owner she had 8 bad injectors. We started a return rate test when we got the overwhelming smell of gasoline. Turns out all it needed was the tank drained, back on the road in no time and the injectors are fine. Duramax’s run better on diesel than gasoline.
Customer has a couple LBZ’s. Engine swap, cab swap, and drive swap (4wd being converted to 2wd and vice versa). If you can’t buy what you want but have all the parts, we can make it. The newer cab that is getting swapped to 4x4 will have a floor shift. Some pics of the progress.
Looks like a Ford service facility with all these cabs up in the air....
And one of them is starting to look like a truck again.
