DMAXSTORE 50" ROOF MOUNT LIGHT BAR BRACKETS
You will need the DMAX STORE brackets, allen wrench, 1/2 & 7/16 wrench, 1/8 & 3/8 drill bit, center punch, hammer, tape measure & marker.
Start by pulling back the factory rubber seal, not all the way, just enough to work freely of the rubber seal and place marker tape as shown, then place bracket in place.
Let rubber hold bracket in place, close door
Repeat on other side
Close door, brackets will stay firmly in place
Do not open door on this next step! With the assistance of another person, take light bar and place in between brackets. Use supplied hardware to loosely place the light bar in place to assist you with proper alignment. Remember, do not open the doors during this step with the light bar loosely in place! When satisfied with alignment remove light bar and be careful not to move the brackets.
Open the door, as long as you removed the light bar from in between the brackets, take a marker and tape measure and mark where you want the brackets to assure proper alignment for both sides. You can should be able to align the front edge of the bracket and the front window seal to get a pretty accurate mounting location for both sides. We found that this was the best location to decrease wind noise of the light bar during high way speeds. Mounting the brackets further back we experienced increased wind whistle and noise. Your truck may be different.
Center punch mark and use a 1/8 drill bit and drill holes out. Be careful as you will be drilling completely through the door frame. Then take the 3/8 drill bit and properly drill holes to that size.
Take inserts with bolts attached and hammer into holes. This will be snug so make sure you are straight and hammer inserts flush with frame.
Use a 1/2 & 7/16 wrench and tighten the 7/16 bolt down to seat the sleeves. once they are seated, remove the bolt.
Repeat on other holes to include other side
Now is a good time to take and record the measurements of the holes to assist you with the proper placement of the brackets on the opposite side. We used the center of the rivet shown to the hole of the insert and center of hole to crease. Our measurements were 1 3/4 and 3/8. Yours may be slightly different.
Place bracket and loosely secure in place. Do not tighten all they was as leaving them loose will assist you with light bar install to allow for some movement of the brackets to ease your light bar placement.
Re-install weather stripping
Repeat all the steps on the other side. Here are pictures for reference as install was the same as covered above
Remember, lining-up the bracket with the front window seal will get you really close towards overall alignment.
Now double check the measurements you took on the other side. Remember for us it was 1 3/4 from rivet to front center hole and 3/8 from center of holes to crease in door frame
Once you're happy with the measurements, center punch and drill holes out
Hammer and tap-in inserts
Place bracket in place and tighten down loosely the bracket, then re-install the weather trim.
With assistance of another person, place bar in between brackets, secure in place with hardware and then tighten both sides of the bracket snug and firmly in place
When running the wiring for the light bar, we used the trim on the drives side to hide the wire under and ran it down into the engine bay and just under the rear hood mount location as shown below
After that, it is up to you how you want to install and run the electrical connections, wires and switch in the cab.
All in all, it was a fairly straight forward install and these DMAX STORE Brackets are well made and made in the USA, right here in our small town of Diamond Springs, California!

Dmaxstore 50" roof mounted light bar brackets are CNC laser cut from 5052 aluminum then precision formed and TIG welded to produce a quality product. The mounts come powder coated in black. Kits come with stainless steel hardware and nut-certs with install "tool". Will only accept straight light bars, not curved.
