  • 08 coilover setup or SAS

Was wondering if it was worth it to go with a Torsion bar delete for an 08 GMC 2500 or go with a SAS and portal hub.

    Wants-

Good ride quality, still highway capable, good offroad capability, doesn't cost both arms and legs. Fit 37s on minimum lift.

There currently isnt a "torsion bar delete" for the GMT800/900 chassis. On the newer Gen LML+ you can do a coil over conversion (from BDS). Currently the only options are a non-torsion bar lift, or a SAS conversion as you mentioned. The SAS conversion from WFO that we offer for sale on our website actually moves the axle forward about 1", which will allow a bigger tire than a traditional lift. Size of rim, tire width and offset is still going to dictate what size tire you can fit at a set lift height though.
