The factory steering components are not up to the task of turning larger tires outfitted on many of these trucks. If you have a lift and larger wheels and tires this upgrade is a necessity. Kryptonite Products came out with the Idler Side Package years ago that includes their Idler arm, Idler arm support and the Frame Gusset. You can see these parts installed below. This customers pitman arm was also worn out so he opted to upgrade to the Kryptonite Pitman arm as well to ensure he has the strongest steering parts available. All of the Kryptonite Idler and PItman arms come with oversized bodies for added strength and heat treated 4140 Chromoly studs to be sure they won't snap like we see on some of the factory arms.
