How about using online sites to purchase GMC accessories

I have bought a Chevy Duramax 6.6L. Its a 2006 model truck. Lot of its parts need replacement . I think the timer kits, floor mats etc. can order online. I have already ordered it from the online store of BC Diesel in Surrey. But how about buying the parts such as air filter and turbo chargers through online? Is that safe? What do you think? Please share your opinion.
