Thinking on doing the cometic thick head gasket to get clearance for larger cam anyone used them or know anything bad doing this. they make them up to .060 to .080 that would be more than I need to make it work?

No they are what I have now and I think .027 or 30 is all need about .030 more, unless I do pistons which doing turbos don't think I'll have enough money to get it up and running by spring

Have you measured your piston height to determine the thickness of your gasket

I'm not sure what thicknesses they offer, but if you have to go a little thicker then you need, you'll loose a little bit of compression, but nothing to be worried about.

small amount, but can always make up with nitrous lol

Yeah I wouldn't be worried at all. Especially with the funny has.
