Transfer Case Pump Rub Fix
On the 2001-2007 GM transfer cases, models 136,146, 246, 261, 261HD, 263HD, and 261XHD all come with a magnesium rear cover which are prone to leaking. The pump housing is driven by the shaft and wears out the soft magnesium rear cover by wearing a hole, as shown below.
