Not a matter of DMV looking for it.....last I checked, I'm pretty sure they already have it....I could be wrong though.

Let's see, so others don't see it and try running plates to find out where someone lives. It's just better to minimize exposure.

This is the stock flange on a cat, that a cat back exhaust would bolt too.
